What is a branding manual?
In my design communications course, part of my final deliverables is providing a branding manual. The easiest way to understand a branding manual is if you are a company who has asked a designer to design their brand for them, you develop the logo, decide the font, the colors, the style, promotional material, etc. and use this on their website and products.
Basically, when the company has your branding manual, they should have all the information they need to understand how you are presenting their brand to the world.
Above is an example of the colors I used for the online store. I added the hex codes, and although this is all a company really needs, I chose to add the shapes I use throughout the rest of my design to keep the manual cohesive.
Above is a page for the typography for the brand. I chose one sans serif font, Montserrat, and one serif font, Tiro Kannada. When you think about most websites or brands, there is a hierarchy, and the one I made is that the sans serif font is used mostly for headers and the sans serif font is used for descriptions.
