Abigail Lo Presti
My name is Abigail Lo Presti, and I am currently a junior at Roger Williams University with a major in graphic design and a minor in architecture. I transferred to Roger Williams University from Pratt Institute where I studied architecture and had my work recognized by the Society of American Military Engineers.
I hope to combine my interests in graphic design with my background in architecture to bring a unique perspective to the competitive field I am entering. I know the Adobe Creative Suite, and I believe I bring a level of maturity to any role I am assigned since I am older than a typical junior in college.
When not at school, I live in Norfolk, Connecticut where I enjoy crochet as another form of a creative outlet, as that has always been important to me, and I can be contacted at alopresti290@g.rwu.edu.
As I am transitioning into graphic design, I only have some work to represent my style. The poster on the left is a promotional poster for a music festival called Newave: New England. The images in the center are mockups of record covers for the artists P!nk and Billy Joel.
In addition to delving into the world of graphic design, I am working on developing some photographs for my portfolio. Photography is new to me, but I believe it is important to be multi-faceted.
Works in Progress
For one of my classes, we are currently designing a music festival. I have based mine off of my favorite genre of music, which is New Wave music from the 80s. I created a fake instagram page in order to show how the festival would be promoted and the aesthetic will be.
Works in Progress
In another class, I am working on composite imaging in Photoshop. I came into the school with basic knowledge of Photoshop, but this specific course is allowing me to explore the possibilities of what I can create. I have usually been a minimalist, but the professor is encouraging me to test out maximalist designs.
